Welcome to the CRN!
The Coding & Reimbursement Network is a Community of over 4000 professionals involved with medical coding, billing and reimbursement.
Esteemed Colleagues...
At last! A place tocall "home!"
It was just a few short years ago, it seems, that we began working quietly and creatively behind the scenes to bring coders, reimbursement specialists, payors and providers — such as yourselves — together in one central, well organized location; namely, right here. And now CRN is an established and recognized reality with membership growing by leaps and bounds!
Make the Discussion Forum your hangout!
The most popular area of the Network is rapidly proving to be the CRN Discussion Forum Area, comprising many, many sub-forums (see below). The forums are entirely free — all you have to do is register. Please visit us today and post an introduction at the Water Cooler to let us know what you think of our already popular hangout.
More than 100 Forums await you. Or you can suggest new ones!
Please be sure to check out all the forums, including Compliance and Regulatory Issues, E&M, Billing & Reimbursement, Primary Care Issues, Specialty Issues, Payor Issues, Physician and Teaching Hospitals, Non-Physician Practitioners, CPT Coding, ICD Coding, Hospital Billing, In The News, and Job Postings. And as if these aren't enough, you can even suggest new forums to be added as our network grows!
Industry links and news, too!
Other exciting areas of CRN are our C&R Industry News and C&R Industry Links pages. These are truly valuable informational resources for anyone in coding and reimbursement.
Just like a diplomatic back-channel!
In addition, we've provided an E-mail Discussion List for those of you who prefer a discussion via a list rather than a forum — or perhaps, if you're really serious about not missing a thing, you'll want to join both!
Share a doc, share a file, share a thought, share a smile!
We also have a CRN Shared Resources page where we have a very organized format for sharing documents and files. This eliminates, for those who desire to share a document, the need of having to fax to a hundred or more people. Anything you want to "donate" can be e-mailed to share@codingandreimbursement.net or faxed to (609) 939-0287, and we will post it quickly in an orderly, organized fashion for immediate retrieval by one and all. In this way even non-electronic files will be made easily available. This also means we can share letters from the AMA, HCFA, your carriers, non-copyrighted material, etc.!
Cherchez le facts!
But the most exciting feature, in our opinion, is the Search Engine. This time-saving resource searches the entire Coding and Reimbursement Network for any keyword you select. So, if you have a question about a particular code number, just type it in and see what articles or discussions there are on the forum. Truly awesome!
Let's not hide our dazzling light under a bushel!
Naturally, we look forward to your participation — as well as that of your friends and associates. So please, pass the word to as many individuals you think may be interested. The more diversity that we can attract to your Discussion Forum, the more resources we will have at our fingertips, and the more we can all dazzle those who depend on our special expertise!
Even room for a word from our sponsors...
We also wish to mention that there is an opportunity for advertisers and sponsors. Show your support of CRN by visiting our Sponsors Area. This separate area will eliminate intrusive advertising within our discussion groups and provide a fitting location for those who want to market or find resources or tools. In addition, if you wish to be featured on our "CRN Sponsors" page, please visit our Sponsorship Area.
We're building a tower of networking power!
As CRN continues to grow, we look forward to building an even more powerful, dynamic, professional, synergistic network of colleagues — because we all know: knowledge is power!
Most Sincerely,
American Academy of Professional Coders
